Our Team
How We Work
Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. We feel a commitment to our community.
Our team approach adds perspective to all we do and provides increased benefits to our clients.

Managing Partner of Mathias Capital, LLC
Hi there! My name is Joseph Mathias and I am the Managing Partner of Mathias Capital, LLC. I've been working in the financial services industry for over 16 years. Since entering the financial services industry, I've earned a number of designations such as the AAMS® Accredited Asset Management Specialist, ChFC® Chartered Financial Consultant, RICP® Retirement Income Certified Professional, and CLU® Chartered Life Underwriter from renowned institutions like the American College of Financial Services and the College of Financial Planning. I hold the Series 7 (FINRA General Securities license) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) registrations through LPL Financial. I obtained my BA in Accounting from Harding University.
Before I entered the financial services industry, I spent 33 years in real estate development. During that time, I held various financial, management, and executive positions in one of the largest publicly held builders in the nation, as well as a member partner in a regional homebuilding firm and a custom homebuilding partnership.
When I'm not working with clients, I love to spend time with my Church family as we honor and serve Jesus together as our King, Savior and Lord. I've been happily married for over 50 years, and we have three children and six grandchildren. As time permits, I enjoy playing golf, watching the four major golf championships, reading non-fiction works, painting, and fly fishing. One of my favorite quotes, not attributed to anyone specific is, "There is no such thing as insignificant improvement."
